Seth Morrison
Director of Trade Policy and Economic Analysis
Seth Morrison is Director of Trade Policy and Economic Analysis with the Foreign-Trade Zone Corporation. Since joining the FTZ Corporation in 2005, he has established a strong record of success with FTZ applications, cost benefit analyses, activations, and zone operations and administration. Seth has worked on more than 50 FTZ applications and administrative requests and successfully overseen nearly all types of FTZ applications and requests in a wide variety of industries.
Seth's understanding of the administrative and political aspects of obtaining approval for FTZ applications and administrative requests comes from daily interaction with the FTZ Board staff and from his direct involvement with local and state officials and U.S. congressional offices in numerous projects. He has crafted several applications that were approved by the U.S. Foreign-Trade Zones Board in a highly abbreviated timeframe and which subsequently became the models for numerous applications filed by other firms.
Seth is fluent in Spanish and has a master’s degree in political science from the City University of New York's Graduate School and University Center. He has extensive research experience in trade, energy, and environmental policy, and belongs to the National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones (NAFTZ), the American Association of Importers and Exporters (AAEI), and the International Compliance Professionals Association (ICPA).
